Day in Sandies Baobab Beach Zanzibar
the hotel was on a large property with lush gardens and quaint cottages for rooms that allowed ample space for guests to still enjoy their vacation without being on top of each other. the common areas were also spacious and simply designed to allow the island to shine as naturally as possible. We had intially booked a room with one queen and one twin bed but since we arrived at the beginning of the season, the hotel wasn't as full so they gave us a small cottage closer to the beach that had one queen bed. We inquired about this and the reception was willing to switch us to a room with twin beds but those cottages were quite a distance from the beach and the room wasn't bigger. They advised us the room we booked wasn't available as of yet. As we were friends who were travelling, we had to make do sharing a queen bed but it wasn't too bad to share. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were great. they also had staff who were entertainment people who facilitated evening activities that brought guests together for good times and connection. The beaches are pristine and naturally exquisite. There are several locals who make a living offering tourist excursions and will approach people for sales but a firm no will get them to enjoy your beach time peacefully. There are multiple local restaurants and bars along the beach where one can enjoy the local scene as well. We were two women friends and we felt safe to walk around the villages and the most that happened was locals saying a hello as we passed by. We walked through the villages for 20mins to the turtle sanctuary and back and no one bothered us. I love Zanzi, this was my third visit and I plan on being back soon. As a fellow East AFrican from Ethiopia, I feel safe and amongst my people in this stunning island.

Absolutely fantastic location, amazing staff, delicious food and drinks, breathtaking views, and a beautiful beach! We stayed at Sandies Baobab Beach for two weeks, opting for the all-inclusive package, and everything was perfect. The all-inclusive option is absolutely worth it! The food was delicious with something new to try every day, and the variety was impressive. We especially loved the Saturday dinners on the beach. There’s also a wide selection of included cocktails, drinks, snacks, and fresh fruit. The rooms were impeccably clean, as were all the hotel’s facilities, which is so important. The private beach is stunning—easily the best beach in the area! The hotel felt very safe, with guards ensuring that non-hotel guests couldn’t enter, so we could leave our belongings on the sunbeds without worry while swimming. The staff were incredible—so kind and welcoming. They truly made us feel at home. We miss you all and will never forget this wonderful holiday! The hotel is also conveniently close to the Zanzibar Horse Club, Turtle Aquarium, Mnemba Island dolphin tours, jet skis, ATMs, and more. Asante Sana for everything, and Hakuna Matata!

Location, location, location! We consider that Sandies Baobab has the best beach in Nungwi, always impeccable clean, perfect spot for pictures and sunset. The property overall is extremely well maintained, at every corner you see at all times some employees working on something, the huge baobab trees are a big plus, the staff is very well trained, friendly, smiling at all times. On Saturdays, they organize a nice dinner on the beach, which we strongly recommend, the atmosphere is very romantic. The security is always on point which makes you feel safe. The food is ok, you have choices.

Perfect location in a quiet area Hotel is also really safe. Best location for the sunset! (picture below without filter) Water is always close (There is always a possibilty to swim at every time not like on east coast of Sansibar) We have only booked the room including breakfast and it was worth it. By walking 5-10 minutes on the beach there are plenty restaurants which all of them have good prices and good food. Stuff there is really friendly and de animateurs are also very helpful in any situation. breakast is ok, Every 2nd day you have the same.
